On 29–30 January 2026, the Secretariat of the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) conducted its routine outreach to members and partners in Ghana. The engagement began with a strategy meeting with the Designated National Platform (DNP), PACJA Ghana, hosted by ABANTU for Development.
The consultations also included discussions with the newly elected Chair of the African Group of Negotiators (AGN), Dr. Nana Antwi Boasiako Amoah, of Ghana’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The primary objective of the outreach was to provide a comprehensive briefing on the outcomes of COP30, strengthen the PACJA network in Ghana, and advance collaboration with the new AGN Chair.
The outreach further aimed to underscore PACJA’s strategic relevance at both continental and global levels, while exploring opportunities to deepen engagement at the DNP level. This initiative is intended to enhance PACJA’s visibility, coordination, and overall impact on climate action across multiple governance layers.
