In an interview published on the website of the Dutch government, Dr Mwenda described how a locally-led sunflower project is building the resilience of communities hit by COVID-19 and harsh climate in Kenya.
“People have their own ways of dealing with climate change,” says Dr Mwenda. “A bottom-up approach is needed to build resilience. That’s why PACJA is investing in building capacity and strengthening local organisations.”
