July 12, 2021The Pan African Climate Justice Alliance is partnering with the Centre for Climate Justice at the Glasgow Caledonian University, UK to host the 2nd World Forum on Climate Justice from the 21-23 September 2021, just two months before global leaders meet in the city for the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) of the United Nations Framework Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The Forum comes on the back of the success of the inaugural Forum held in June 2019 at Glasgow Caledonian University and featured keynotes from distinguished speakers including Mary Robinson, Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon MSP and Kerry Kennedy. To Forum was attended by over 150 delegates from around the world.
Held fully online, the 2nd World Forum will have a far greater reach and be more accessible to delegates from around the world. Our key themes – COP26 and COVID-19 – recognise the need to incorporate climate justice into global climate governance and the post-pandemic recovery.
Keynote speakers include our very own Dr Mithika Mwenda.
