September 1, 2022The PACJA delegation shared with the Cabinet Secretary on the milestones registered so far in the ACW and in pre-events. According to Philip Kilonzo, Head of Policy, Advocacy and Communication at the PACJA, the delegation had released the Libreville communique, the launch of the Climate Justice Torch and firming up of the Faith Actors Plan for Advancing climate justice before and during the first two days of the Africa Climate Week.
Building on core PACJA’s strength, Hon. Keriako Tobiko recognized the role of the youth in ensuring the health of the planet.
He recognized the role a mobilization such as that of PACJA through Climate Justice Torch can play in building momentum and emphasised the need for synergy in all efforts.
“We must do what we can within the capacity of our capabilities and resources to ensure we achieve climate justice,” said Tobiko.
As part of clear demonstration of accountability from government, Tobiko emphasised the need to accept guidance from experts and other actors in sharing ideas and knowledge in the climate justice space. He urged young people to play a critical role in climate negotiation.
In sideline processes, PACJA excited the interest of Hon. Tobiko to be part of the CJT launch in Nairobi.
