Faith leaders coalescing under the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) last week held their round-table deliberations on climate change in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
At the end of the two-day meeting that started Wednesday, May 19, the representatives of church leaders in Africa maintained the commitment of African countries to fight climate change and came up with the roadmap towards the 26th Conference of Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change set for November 1-12, 2021 in Glasgow, UK.
“We are determined to represent our continent, raise our voices, and speak out with one voice as faith actors, so as to make a positive impact at the upcoming COP26 meeting,” said Rev Dr. Fidon Mwombeki, the General Secretary of the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC).
