June 15, 2022Led by Charles Mwangi, the Acting Executive Director of PACJA, the team discussed a number of issues with the COP27 Presidency which was led by Ambassador Mohammed and Amar Essam.
The CSOs team urged the COP27 Presidency to support the participation of civil society from various backgrounds, groupings and nationalities so that the voices from the grassroots be pat of the discussions at the COP.
The COP27 Presidency committed to openly receive a concept notes from the Africa Peoples at the COP and welcomed the idea of co-hosting of the Africa Climate Week and AMCEN events with the PACJA.
PACJA team discussed the CSOs demands at the COP27 and officially shared the COP 27 strategy officially to the presidency.
The COP Presidency committedin developing a number of flagship initiatives to scale up climate action in Africa aand developing countries.
