The TAKSNA Conference, held on October 22 in Tunisia, marked a pivotal moment for @PACJA1 as we engaged with partners from across Africa and Indonesia under the Voices for Just Climate Action initiative. This collaborative platform showcased inspiring locally-led climate actions in water management and agriculture, driven by women farmers and bolstered by government partnerships.
Tunisia’s ambitious USD 23 billion water strategy, which integrates gender and climate change considerations, provided invaluable insights for advancing sustainable solutions. The conference also served as a strategic moment to amplify the #KeepYourPromises campaign, emphasizing the need for accountability and action in climate finance and justice.
We were thrilled to explore future collaborations with our Designated National Platform to further advance climate justice across the continent. Key takeaways from the event include the importance of forging stronger partnerships, setting clearer priorities, and sharpening our focus on impactful campaigning.
