The Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), in collaboration with the Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP), will launch the Climate & Economic Justice Campaign — a bold, continent-wide initiative advocating for debt cancellation, reparations, and transformative reforms to the global financial and economic system.
Set to take place both physically and virtually, the launch will provide a powerful platform to spotlight Africa’s debt crisis, the governance of natural resources, and the far-reaching impacts of structural injustices embedded in the global economic order. The campaign seeks to rally civil society, policymakers, and movements behind a shared vision of sustainable, inclusive, and climate-resilient development.
Anchored in the aspirations of Agenda 2063 and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, the campaign will focus on key themes including climate action, economic justice, and social equity, all underpinned by a call for a just transition and global solidarity.
