We are excited to announce that applications for the 5th Cohort of the Nairobi Summer School on Climate Justice (NSSCJ), which opened in April, have officially closed. We are deeply grateful to every young person who took the time to apply, share their stories, and express their commitment to advancing climate justice in Africa and beyond. Your passion, purpose, and vision have inspired us.
As we move into the shortlisting phase, we want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all applicants. The process ahead is rigorous, and we are committed to ensuring that the final selection reflects the diversity, innovation, and energy of Africa’s youth climate movement. Successful applicants will be notified on 7th June 2025.
This year, we look forward to welcoming selected participants both physically in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia this August, and virtually, for a dynamic and enriching learning journey focused on amplifying youth voices in the fight for climate justice.
The Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering youth, nurturing leadership, and equipping a new generation of climate justice champions. Together, we are shaping The Africa We Want—and a world grounded in equity, dignity, and justice.
Thank you once again to all who applied. We wish you the very best and hope to cross paths with many of you—either in person or online—as we continue to build a just and climate-resilient future for all.
