The subproject in Madagascar is being implemented by Gasy Youth Group and the focus is strengthen and increase awareness, capacity and participation of CSOs and local communities on REDD+ for an effective and inclusive implementation of the national REDD+ strategy and for a sustainable forest conservation of in Madagascar.
AMISTAD is implementing the sub project in Ivory Coast focusing on capacity building and outreach project for civil society organizations (CSOs) and local communities on climate change and REDD+. AMISTAD endeavour to achieve this through disseminating the national REDD + strategy and its safeguarding instruments to local communities; Strengthening the contribution of the civil society and local communities in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of REDD + projects and safeguard instruments in Côte d'Ivoire; Creating and strengthening synergies between the media, civil society, local communities and the REDD + Permanent Executive Secretariat.
ROSCEVAC is the organization that is implementing the subproject in Gabon aiming at strengthening the capacities of Gabon's community stakeholders to participate actively in the implementation of the REDD + process in Gabon.
FCPF capacity building project for CSOs on REDD+ supported by World Bank through PACJA has created a great impact in Gabon. The government of Gabon is pleased with the role which PACJA Gabon is playing in raising community awareness on REDD+ throughout the country.

ETHIO WETLANDS AND NATURAL RESOURCES ASSOCIATION
The major aim of this project is to build the capacity of the Civil Society and local communities on REDD+, based on the Ethiopia context. In order to achieve this overall goal, the project seek to contribute to local communities’ livelihood improvement and forest management through local community capacity development on NTFPs and strengthen CSOs and organized PFM groups in the Illu Ababora Zone, Oromia Regional State. This is being achieved through training CBO institutions and awareness creation in the five PFM implementation Woredas (Nono-Selle, Didu, Ale, Halu and Becho), Illu Ababora Zone, Oromia Regional State. The project is already improving understanding and knowledge of local communities, CSOs and concerned stakeholders on OFLP safeguards instruments and their rights and obligations through training. The communities will also be supported to establish their Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) and full knowledge on how to operationalize their GRM. The project actions & measures targets community groups such as marginalized, women, youth, the poor.

Association for Education and the Environment (A-2E) is implementing Burkina Faso sub project aiming at promoting capacity building and Knowledge for Civil Society Actors and Local Communities on Climate Change and REDD+ in Burkina Faso. The project targets to strengthen the synergy of actions between civil society organizations and the administration on the REDD+ mechanism in Burkina Faso and climate change. It also seek to inform and sensitize civil society actors and the local community about the REDD+ mechanism and climate change (causes, manifestations and consequences). The project is being executed in two regions in Burkina faso; Northern region and Central North Region and specifically targeting Ouahigouya; Gourcy; Yako and Kaya locality.
