Andrew Mtupanyama is a Malawian journalist working for Nation Publications Limited (NPL) in Blantyre, Malawi. He holds a Diploma in Graphic Media (Malawi Polytechnic), a Diploma in Computer Studies (National College for Information Technology) and a Certificate in Journalism (Malawi Institute of Journalism). He is a features writer with a passion for telling stories that affect people. He usually takes a people-centred approach to stories. Andrew uses the same approach in the Do It Yourself column which he writes in the Nation On Sunday. During his years as a journalist, he has focused on slowing down the rate of environmental degradation or provided space to the alternative view in debates on proposed natural resource exploitation projects in Malawi.
